Texans commence training camp

Day 1 of the Houston Texans training camp is over. According to Texans beat writer, Alan Burge, Brice McCain led the DB's out onto the field to start camp. Later in the day, McCain knocked down former Pitt tight end, Dorin Dickerson, in press coverage.

Athlon Jaguars Season Preview

Athlon Sports, an acclaimed sports magazine, has released its season preview of the Jacksonville Jaguars. The piece recognizes the tremendous transition undertaken by Zach Miller last year. Miller, a former college quarterback, had a solid rookie campaign in 2009 at tight end, which was the fist time he had ever played the position. Athlon states, "Second-year player Zach Miller has completed the switch from college quarterback (at Nebraska-Omaha) to tight end, and he made a real impact toward the end of the season. Expect Miller to see much more playing time this year, spelling Lewis and in two-tight end sets." Miller will join the rest of his Jaguar teammates this week for the start of training camp.

RealGM Colts Season Preview

RealGM released their season preview of the Indianapolis Colts today and had some kind words for Aregatta client, Eric Foster. Writer Jeff Risdon lauded Foster's hustle, stating, "[t]here was no interior pass rush to speak of other than reserve Eric Foster, who showed a little acumen at twisting with Mathis." Risdon also notes that "Foster was the most active of the DTs." The Colts will open training camp on August 2.

The NYT praises Eric Foster

The New York Times praised defensive tackle, Eric Foster, in their annual season previews today. Columnist Andy Benoit notes, "[e]nergetic backup Eric Foster plays with terrific leverage" and "he deserves to see time in more packages than nickel." The Colts will commence training camp in a few weeks and Foster figures to play a major role on the defensive line once again this season.

Jacksonville Season Preview

SportsChatPlace.com released its season preview of the Jacksonville Jaguars today and commended Aregatta client, Zach Miller, on his strong overall skillset. Jags Confident in Miller

Zach Miller is in a tough position battle down in Jacksonville as he is fighting for the back-up tight end position with Ernest Wilford, ESPN reports. Jags offensive coordinator, Dirk Koetter, is confident that Miller will make an impact in 2010 after his strong finish to the 2009 season. Says Koetter, "We think Zach can be that guy, we have high hopes for him." The Jaguars will start training camp on July 30.

Brice McCain - Speed Kills

Andy Benoit of The New York Times released the paper's annual preview of the Houston Texans this morning, and the piece emphasizes the importance Brice McCain's speed on the outside. McCain, Benoit notes, "has the inside track on the No. 3 job. [His] 4.3-speed makes him the best fit to cover the outside receiver in nickel packages." Brice will have a chance to solidify himself as a starter when the Texas start their training camp on July 30.
